ADHD and ASD Screening Assessment
A diagnostic screening assessment is for those who are curious if they have symptoms that align with a diagnosis of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder or Autism Spectrum Disorder. A thorough diagnostic screening conducted by a mental health professional can be helpful to inform next steps. The process consists of interviews and questionnaires to gather details about the individual's mental health history, symptoms, and personal experiences. The main goal is to identify what diagnosis(es) the symptoms are likely attributed to and to rule out mental health disorders that are not likely present.
What to Expect:
Prior to being scheduled, you will be given questionnaires to complete through the online portal. A one-hour interview will be scheduled and conducted to gather information. For adolescents under the age of 18, or adults under guardianship, the parent/guardian will attend at least part of the assessment as well. Additional questionnaires may be given to gather additional information either from the client and/or others in their life to get another perspective. In most cases, a second session is needed to finish the assessment, give feedback, and offer individualized recommendations.
*Standardized psychological testing will not be included and may be recommended and referred out.
